YOU ARE INVITED to join us for our 4th Annual Fall Moab Trip. We are going to Moab, Utah over the weekend of Friday, October 3 through Monday, October 6 (conference weekend). Our first year's attendance was 3, second year's attendance was 9, third year's attendance was 33. Will this year be...??? It's up to you, come and have fun, or stay home and be miserable.

Okay, so gas prices and such are putting a dent in all of our budgets of late. For us, like last year, this will be another super-budget-economy trip.

National Parks - Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park.
Jeeping - Trail names like Hell's Revenge, Wipeout Hill, Tip Over Challenge, Metal Masher, Steel Bender, and more!
Mountain Biking - Slickrock Trail, Porcupine Rim, Poison Spider Mesa. Bring a bike and ride alongside the Jeep caravan or take some time to go do your own thing.
Hiking - Bring your hiking boots. At least 2 of our jeep excursions will include some hiking time, plus two of the best hikes in the Moab area start right at the Moonflower campground.
Rafting - Since most of us have kids that are under the age that rafting companies will accomodate, you'll be on your own for any rafting activities.
Sunrises and Sunsets - At least two of our organized adventures will include sunrise or sunset viewing, which will mean that we'll be on the road leaving camp as early as 6:00 am on those days. Feel free to sleep in as late as you want, but don't expect us to stick around camp until you're ready to go. Rather, plan on meeting up with us after lunch.

Once again, we'll be lodging as cheap as possible this year. Tentative plans will be to fill up the 8 campsites at the Moonflower Campground about 3.5 miles from the center of town for $8 per car per night. The campground is well shaded with two of the best Moab area hikes starting right from the campground. However, stay where you please, there are plenty of other options for various budget and amenities conscious travelers.

We don't plan on eating anything that we wouldn't have otherwise eaten had we been home. That might include possibly one meal at a restaurant and probably one trip to a good, local bakery.

Highs could be around 75* - 85*, lows could be around 40* - 50*. Every year, we get at least one day that is absolutely perfect, and every year we get at least one day with rain and cold, and every year we get at least one wind gust that ends up taking down a tent or two.
