Draft Moab Itinerary

So we sent out invitations to Moab a couple of weeks ago. We've solicited input on activities and have now put together a draft itinerary, as follows:

FRIDAY

Friday Morning: Set up camp, drive CHICKEN CORNERS 4X4 TRAIL (Lori's choice). See Chicken Corners - BLM, Chicken Corners - Red Rock 4 Wheelers, and Chicken Corners - Traildamage.com for more information.

Friday Mid-day: Approximately 1.5 hours Free Time

Friday Afternoon/ Evening: "ARCHES NATIONAL PARK TOUR" (Ron's choice) - Drive the Four Wheel Drive Road (that's it's official name) to Eye of the Whale Arch, then to Tower Arch, then hike to Delicate Arch for dinner and sunset. See Tower Arch 4x4 Road - Trail Damage.com and Delicate Arch Hike for more information.

SATURDAY

Saturday Morning (Ron & Lacey): Drive POISON SPIDER MESA 4X4 TRAIL (Craig's choice). See Poison Spider Mesa - BLM, Poison Spider Mesa - Red Rock 4 Wheelers, and Poison Spider Mesa - Traildamage.com for more information.

Saturday Mid-day: Approximately 2 hours Free time

Saturday Afternoon (Lori & Lacey): Drive HELL'S REVENGE OR FINS N THINGS 4X4 TRAILS (Lori's choice and classic must-do trails). Saturday Afternoon (Ron & Riley): Hike to Corona Arch, Morning Glory Arch, or the 1st mile of Moab Rim. Then go to the Priesthood Session of The LDS General Conference in town.

Saturday Evening: Browse shops in town and eat out at a restaurant.

SUNDAY

Sunday Morning and Early Afternoon: "THE NEEDLES DISTRICT - CANYONLANDS NATIONAL PARK TOUR" (Craig and Kristina's choice). Drive to and from the Needles District (1.5 hours away), do a short "sunrise hike" (or meet up later for the sleep-in kind of people, drive the Elephant Hill 4x4 Trail, then at least one more hike (more depending on time and interest). See Elephant Hill - CNP, Elephant Hill - RR4W, Elephant Hill - Traildamage, and Needles Short Hikes - CNP.

Sunday Evening: Relax around camp.

MONDAY

Monday Morning: 4x4 Trail to be decided by remaining attendees.

By the way, the Stitchers were the only ones to provide any viable input on activities, so their opinions have been the only ones to be incorporated in the itinerary.

Also, the official attendance list is as follows:

Ron and Lori Tolman and family (4)
Craig and Kristina Stitcher and family (4)
Whitney Neilson (1)
Stan and Rae Goold (2)
Sam Tolman (1)

Anyhow, if that's all that ends up coming, we will be pretty lax about sticking to our itinerary. If you are coming and haven't confirmed with us yet, please send us an email and let us know.
