Through 9/14/2008

Okay, so we're not sure exactly where we are going to go with this blog thing. Some of you use them as a family journal, some of you use them as travelogues, some of you use them to share pictures and videos, some of you use them as political or religious soapboxes. Anyhow, we set the thing up as an easy way to send out this year's invitation to our Annual Fall Moab Trip. Now that it's set up, maybe we'll start using it instead of the Webshots emails we normally send out to update our lives. We're not sure where else it will go, we'll see!!

Here are some pictures over the last couple of weeks:

Here are some videos over the last couple of weeks:

Anyhow, over Labor Day weekend, we were supposed to go camping and waterskiing and 4-wheeling with the Stitchers and the Lees. The day we were supposed to meet them at Strawberry Reservoir, they got scared of the rain and went home. So we figured since our car was already loaded with camping gear and we had Monday off of work, we would go camping anyway.

So we went up Diamond Fork Canyon (near Spanish Fork) to an area called Three Forks. We camped overnight and our tent got soaked, but we found a dry patch in the tent about the size of our family, so we cuddled together and stayed warm and dry.

The next day we hiked about 2 miles each way (Lacey hiked the entire 4 miles on her own 2 feet!!) to an area called Fifth Water where there are several hot springs that dump into the Fifth Water Creek. The hot water and the cold water mix in different different amounts and there are several "family-sized" pools of different temperatures.

Because of the weather, we had the trail and the hot pools almost all to ourselves.

We've also spent a little bit of time with Kiley and her family the last couple of weeks.
